DesignYourHeritage is an App owned by the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (https://iaac.net/). It has been partially developed under the framework of the HeritACT project, which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon programme under the grant agreement N. 101094998. HeritACT intends to empower communities’ co-creation capacity and redefine the role of cultural heritage in urban regeneration. HeritACT aims to enhance community-oriented processes and introduce innovative and inclusive architectural and design solutions and cultural artistic practices to support environmental and cultural sustainability. For more information, visit https://www.heritact.eu/the-project In this context, DesignYourHeritage is an App that empowers citizens of all ages to engage in the design and reactivation of their heritage spaces. With its dynamic and user-friendly interface, participation in the design process is playful and engaging. The tool provides a catalogue of design solutions, developed by HeritACT partners, based on the principles of the New European Bauhaus initiative. The users can choose which solution they find the most suitable for their heritage space and drag them into the 3D representation of the area. This privacy policy explains which data our organisation collects when you play our App and how it is used: i) All data collection and management are in line with the current European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) concerning the protection of personal data. Please visit https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection_en for more information. ii) DesignYourHeritage App is free to use. iii) The information collected via the user-guest login questionnaire and the evaluation questionnaire are completely anonymous, as no personal information (such as name, surname, email address) is needed nor asked to play the DesignYourHeritage App. Therefore, no personal data is gathered. iv) DesignYourHeritage App does not use or store the IP address of the device in which it has been downloaded. v) To analyse App performances and functionality, DesignYourHeritage App gathers the number of times the App is played and the duration of each play. Please note that this process is also anonymous as it is not related to any personal data. vi) As for the use and processing of data, it is worth noting that DesignYourHeritage App does not use third parties to collect, process or store the anonymized collected data mentioned above. vii) The data collected mentioned above (anonymized questionnaires and the app performances) will be used only for the purpose of the HeritACT research project. viii) According to the minimization principle set in the GDPR, the data collected by DesignYourHeritage App will be stored no longer than what is necessary to achieve the purpose of the HeritACT research project.
